Dengue fever cases on the rise in Tamaulipas State, Mexico

Although only 67 cases of dengue fever have been reported in Tamulipas during the first 3 months this year, they represent 5 times the number of cases reported in the same time period last year. There may be many more unreported cases since counting andreporting may be hampered by lack of local access to health care, and manypersons with mild illness may not seek health care.
