Dengue fever continues to be a risk in the more tropical areas of Mexico. At this time, the state of Jalisco is reporting new cases, including some cases of the more serious dengue haemorrhagic fever. Travellers to areas where the dengue fever virus is active can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
