Dengue fever in Bolivia

Since the beginning of 2011, health authorities have reported a total of 611 cases of dengue fever. Most of the cases have occurred in Sincelejo. At least 12 cases have had serious complications with 3 deaths.

Travellers to this region and other parts of Bolivia with tropical climates should be aware of the risk of exposure to dengue and take all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
