Nepal (Chitwan district) - 150 cases

India

  • Delhi - 4,207 cases; 14 deaths
  • Andhra Pradesh (Visakhapatnam) - 68 cases
  • Goa
  • Uttar Pradesh (Kanpur) - 531 cases

Pakistan

  • Punjab - 6,767 cases. The most affected city is Rawalpindi
  • Sindh - 2,076 cases; 16 deaths. The most affected municipalities include Karachi and Hyderabad
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Swat Valley) - 8,734 cases There may be many more cases of dengue that are not reported. Counting and reporting cases may be difficult due to lack of local access to health care. Many persons with mild illness may not seek health care. Travellers to areas where the dengue fever virus is active can reduce their risk of exposure to dengue fever virus by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
