Pakistan

  • Punjab - 51 cases. Most affected municipality is Lahore 18 cases.

  • Sindh - 794 cases. Most affected municipality is Karachi.

  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa - Swat district 250 cases. India

  • National - 15,983 cases (at end of July)

  • Punjab - 11 cases

  • Haryana - 60 cases. Most affected municipality is Gurgaon.

  • Gujarat - (Rajkot) 100 cases.

  • Kerala - 5,801 cases with 19 deaths. Most affected municiplality is Thiruvananthapuram. There may be many more unreported cases of dengue since counting and reporting cases may be hampered by lack of local access to health care, and many persons with mild illness may not seek health care. Travellers to areas where the dengue fever virus is active can reduce their risk of exposure to dengue fever virus by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
