Dengue fever in Singapore (update)

So far this year, there have been 20,057 reported cases of dengue fever with 7 deaths. Theremay be many more cases of dengue that are not reported. Counting and reporting allcases may be difficult due to lack of local access to health care. Manypersons with mild illness do not seek health care. Travellers to areaswhere the dengue fever virus is active can reduce their risk of exposureby taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
