Dengue fever outbreaks said to be under control i Sarawak, Malaysia

Health authorities have reported a total of 63 dengue cases during the 1st 9 months of this year.

Since many persons infected with the dengue virus do not seek medical care and are not reported to medical authorities, the actual number of cases in the community may be much larger.

Travellers to this area should be aware of the risk of exposure to dengue fever virus and take all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
