Dengue Fever spreads in Amazonas State of Brazil.

State health authorities in Brazil's state of Amazonas have reported a dengue epidemic that has spread to the two municipalities of Manaus and Tefé. As of March 1, there had been nine confirmed deaths from dengue type 1 and 2, with four additional deaths under investigation. Health authorities report that over 230 cases of dengue are reported daily, making this the second-worst dengue epidemic in Amazonas.
