Dioxin contaminated Baltic Sea Salmon illegally exported from Sweden

An investigative report by Swedish television has revealed that Swedish wholesalers were illegally exporting dioxin contaminated salmon to France and Denmark without providing public health warnings regarding consumption. Current guidelines warn pregnant women and children to avoid consuming Baltic Sea salmon more than 2 or 3 times a year. There is a growing body of evidence that extremely low levels may not cause cancer, but there is much controversy regarding safe levels of this toxic chemical.
