Drivers for Germany's Deutsche Bahn begin a week-long strike today

Drivers for Germany's Deutsche Bahn have begun a week-long strike beginning at 15:00 (3:00 pm) with cargo service trains. At 2:00 am on Tuesday, passenger services will be affected. The strike will last until 9:00 am on Sunday, May 10.

“Deutsche Bahn published a contingency timetable, initially for Tuesday and Wednesday, promising that one third of long-distance trains and between 15 and 60 percent of regional services would operate as normal.”
