Ebola outbreak in Mali expands

The nurse who treated an imam who came from Guinea and who had Ebola-like symptoms has died from the infection in the capital Bamako. There are reports that other members of the imam's family had died in Guinea, and a doctor at the Pasteur Clinic where the nurse worked is also infected. Approximately 70 people have been placed in quarantine for further observation.

While the risk for the general traveller to this city is low, contact with sick people or with anyone who has cared for ill people should be avoided.
