Ebola outbreak in West Africa is accelerating

Although the outbreak of Ebola in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria continues to accelerate with 40 percent of all the reported cases occurring in the last 3 weeks, the cases continue to occur mostly in a few localities. The World Health Organization does not recommend any travel restrictions, and the risk of exposure for the general traveller is very low, provided all contact with any ill persons or persons caring for ill people is avoided. Travellers should also be aware that some countries have imposed travel limitations , and many airlines have cancelled flights to the affected countries.
