Elections in Nigeria on 11 April 2015

Nigerian gubernatorial and State Assembly elections will be held on 11 April 2015. Between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, there will be some travel restrictions. Only vehicles accredited to observe or manage the elections and emergency vehicles will be allowed on public roads. Exercise caution since violent incidents have occurred in Nigeria during past election campaigns and after the announcement of results.

Police are now enforcing a curfew from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am in Rivers State. There are also curfews in parts of Maiduguri, Borno State, and Adamawa State. It can be dangerous to not comply with a curfew, and curfews can change without notice. Check with local authorities for up-to-date information.
