England: Southern rail strike on June 21, 2016

Unless last-minute talks avert the planned industrial action, a Southern rail union has called for another 24-hour strike by conductors on Tuesday, June 21.

The strike will affect services throughout the day with no trains on some routes and limited service on other routes between the hours of 07:30 and 18:00. Outside those hours, there may be no trains running. Gatwick Express and Thameslink services will not be affected but are expected to be extremely busy.

Services have already been disrupted by a high rate of conductors calling in sick.
