Escalation of violence in Central African Republic since early October

Due to continued sectarian conflict between two main factions, violence has escalated in Bangui, Central African Republic (CAR) since early October. At least 6,500 people have been displaced this year. At least 30 people were killed in attacks this week alone. Due to the fragile security situation, many countries advise citizens to avoid all travel to the CAR.
