Fewer dengue fever cases this year in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

The Jeddah health department has reported 48 cases of dengue fever in the city over the past two weeks. However, there are fewer cases now than were reported at the same time last year. In Jazan, there were also 10 cases of dengue reported.

Although there are fewer cases this year, there is still a risk of exposure to the mosquitoes that carry dengue fever. Travellers can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
