Flooding and landslides in Sichuan and Yunnan provinces in China

Heavy rains in China have caused landslides and damage leading to loss of life. In Dujiangyan in the province of Sichuan, at least 21 people are missing and two dead after a landslide washed away 11 buildings Wednesday. About 352 stranded tourists were moved to safety out of the area. In the city of Jiangyou, a bridge collapsed leaving at least 12 people missing.

After days of heavy rain and floods, hundreds of homes have been damaged forcing the evacuation of more than 36,000 people in Sichuan and Yunnan provinces.
