Flooding strands tourists at the Mutiara Taman Negara Resort in Malaysia

About 100 people, including 60 foreign tourists, are stranded and being evacuated from the Mutiara Taman Negara Resort in Pahang state, Malaysia. After heavy rains, the level of the Sungai Tembeling river rose to the highest level since 1971. Residents and tourists are warned to avoid coastal areas and river mouths in this area since water levels are expected to peak over the next two days.
