Fresh protests in Beirut, Lebanon

Anti-government demonstrations turned violent in Beirut today. Protesters gathered in downtown Beirut to march to Nejmeh Square, however, police had erected blockades to prevent the crowd from moving through the streets. The protesters began to dismantle the barriers. Clashes ensued with police using tear gas, water cannon and clubs to disperse the crowds.
