G20 meeting in Hamburg, Germany, set for July 7-8, 2017

The G20 meeting will be held in Hamburg on July 7 and 8. For all bordering Schengen countries (countries that are part of Europe’s passport-free travel zone), there will be temporary land, sea and air border controls leading up to and during the summit meeting.

There could be an increased risk of terrorist attack during this time. Be vigilant and aware of your surroundings. Avoid crowded areas if possible. Protests are expected. To minimize safety risk, avoid all areas of large public gatherings and protests. Even peaceful gatherings could quickly and unexpectedly escalate and become violent.
