Advice For Travellers

The security situation in Turkey could be unstable at this time. Also, terrorist attacks have occurred in 2016, and terrorist groups have threatened to attack tourist sites. With respect to personal safety, exercise a high level of caution and maintain a vigilant awareness of your surroundings in Turkey. Some countries suggest that travellers reconsider their need to travel to Ankara and Istanbul at this time. To minimize safety risk, avoid large public gatherings and demonstrations. Avoid crowded areas where tourists gather.
