Gridlock in Jakarta due to taxi driver protest

A large protest by thousands of Indonesian taxi drivers against Uber-type businesses has brought parts of Jakarta to a standstill today. The protest has turned violent in some areas. Some roads have been blocked, particularly outside the parliament and other government buildings.
