Guinea declared free of Ebola by World Health Organization

Since there have been no new cases of Ebola detected in the past 42 days (twice the maximum incubation period), The World Health Organization has declared an end to the Ebola outbreak in the Republic of Guinea.

Advice For Travellers

Continued vigilance is necessary since the disease may reappear. However, the general traveller is at very low risk unless working as a health care worker or caring for a sick family member who might have this infection.
