Gunfight in Tanhuato, Mexico, leaves at least 43 dead

On Friday, a gunfight between Mexican police and an armed drug cartel gang left at least 43 people dead in Tanhuato, near the border of the Jalisco state.

If possible, avoid leaving tourist areas. Drug-related violence is a particular problem in the northern states of Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, Sinaloa and Durango, and also in Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoac√°n and Nayarit.
