Hand, foot and mouth disease deaths reported in Vietnam

During the past 2 weeks, health authorities have reported 5 deaths due to hand, foot and mouth disease. So far in 2012, there have been 27 deaths and approximately 50,000 cases of this disease.

Travellers who are travelling with small children who are most susceptible to infection with this virus can decrease the risk of exposure to hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) virus by frequent hand washing and maintaining careful personal hygiene.
