There have been more than 20,000 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease reported in all 77 provinces of Thailand, so far this year. The northern region of Thailand is the most affected. 1 death has been reported.
Small children (1-3 years old) are the most affected.

The summer months are the season for the transmission of the viruses that cause this condition.
