Hand, foot and mouth disease in Vietnam

So far this year, over 2,100 have been infected with hand, foot and mouth disease across 57 localities in Vietnam, mostly from the southern parts of the country. While people got sick during the Lunar New Year, the peak time for spread of the disease is from March to May, so people are urged to practice good hygiene.

Advice For Travellers

Small children are most susceptible to infection with this virus. Travellers who are travelling with small children can decrease the risk of exposure to hand, foot and mouth disease virus by washing hands frequently and by maintaining careful personal hygiene.
