Hand, foot and mouth disease increasing monthly in Shanghai, China

During the current current peak season for hand, foot and mouth disease in China, hospitals for children in Shanghai are reporting monthly increases in the number of cases seeking care. In March, April and May, the monthly number of new cases was 190, 480 and 500, respectively.
