Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease - increasing reports of cases in Selanqor, Malaysia

Health authorities have reported a total of 4,559 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease in infants and children in Selangor from January 1 to June 9 this year. The most affected areas include: Petaling, Klang, Gombak, and Hulu Langat Districts.

Travellers who are travelling with small children who are most susceptible to infection with this virus can decrease the risk of exposure to hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) virus by frequent hand washing and maintaining careful personal hygiene.
