Hand, foot, and mouth disease infects travellers at popular hotel in Spain

There have been 17 tourists infected with hand, foot, and mouth disease at the Menorca Hotel in the Balearic Islands. The outbreak occurred in September 2016 and typically affects young children under the age of 10.

Advice For Travellers

Small children are most susceptible to infection with this virus. Travellers who are travelling with small children can decrease the risk of exposure to hand, foot and mouth disease virus by washing hands frequently and by maintaining careful personal hygiene.
