Hand, foot and mouth disease is widespread in Singapore

Health authorities have reported the highest number of cases of hand, foot and mouth disease diagnosed in one week, i.e., 1,171 cases. The Health Ministry has registered a total of 11,895 cases this year.

Travellers who are travelling with small children who are most susceptible to infection with this virus can decrease the risk of exposure to hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) virus by frequent hand washing and maintaining careful personal hygiene.
