Hand, foot and mouth disease season in China; severe in Zhejiang Province

Now is the peak of transmission of hand, foot and mouth disease across most of China. The transmission of the virus that causes hand, foot and mouth disease is particularly intense in the province of Zhejiang where almost 60,000 cases have been reported. Some cases have had severe infections and 2 deaths were registered. The most affected counties include Quzhou, Lishui, Jinhua, Wenzhou and Ningbo.
