Heavy flooding and landslides in Catanduanes province, Philippines.

The tropical storm Aere has hit the northeastern province of Catanduanes in the Philippines, killing at least nine people and displacing more than 100,000 from landslides and flooding. Transportation has been disrupted and the power has been knocked out in some towns.

Travel to regions affected by flooding should be avoided since travel may be both difficult and dangerous due to damage sustained by the basic infrastructure and social services.
