Heavy rains and landslides in China

The recent typhoon, storms and torrential rains have caused flooding and landslides. Although China is hit by flooding every year, recent storms have caused more than usual devastation in southern and northeast China. Chinese media reports that about 80,000 travellers were stranded over the past few days due to disruption in transportation. The hardest hit areas at this time are the Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hunan provinces and in the northeast around the flooded Nei River near the city of Fushun.
