Hepatitis A outbreak detected in Le Mans, France

Health authorities of the Regional Health Agency of the Pays de la Loire have traced the source of an outbreak of acute hepatitis A virus infection to a restaurant in the Le Mans region. A total of 12 cases, 7 of whom were located in the same area of the city of Le Mans, have been reported. The actual way the virus was transmitted is under investigation, and the restaurant has not been identified in the reports.
