High risk of malaria in Luanda Province, Angola

So far this year, at least 180,000 cases and 400 deaths due to malaria have been reported in Luanda. Last year, there were almost 1 million cases in this province. Any traveller to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
