Ibadan cholera death toll hits 18

Cholera continues to spread extensively in the past 2 weeks in Ibadan. To date, 18 people have died from the disease in spite of efforts to contain it. Five persons have been killed by cholera in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, bringing the death toll to 18. Many other cases are hospitalized.

Travellers to this area should be aware of the risk of exposure to cholera and take all necessary precautions to avoid consuming contaminated food and water.
