In Cameroon more Boko Haram militant attacks

The Boko Haram Islamic militant group killed about 30 people in the village of Mbaljuel in northern Cameroon, close to the border with Nigeria on Friday night. The militants clashed with the Cameroon army in the village of Soueram, also in the northern part of Cameroon, and about 100 militants were reportedly killed.

Sitata reminds travellers that many countries advise against all travel to areas that border with Nigeria.

In northern Cameroon, the Boko Haram militants often attack villages and sometimes take foreigners and local people as hostages.

In Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States of Nigera, the Boko Haram are waging war against the Nigerian government as well as targeting others, including school children, business men and women and teachers.
