In India, 24-hour transportation strike on April 30, 2015

In India, a 24-hour nationwide transport strike to protest a 2014 safety law is set for April 30, 2015. The strike or bandh will affect most buses, taxes and other public transportation. Most bus, taxi and auto unions across India have committed to participating in the strike.

In Bangalore, however, the bandh will be observed from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and has been shortened due to a major cricket match. In New Delhi and in other metro cities, the bandh will remain a 24-hour strike.

In Bangalore, one union has issued a statement that all tourist and taxi services will be available on Thursday. Some of the taxi services that will be available in Bangalore tomorrow are:
