Reports of malaria cases are increasing with a total of 401 confirmed cases in Hyderabad and 120 in Ranga Reddy district, between January and June 2011.

Travellers to this area should be aware of the increasing risk of exposure to malaria and take all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
