Italian tourists abducted by Indian Maoists in remote Orissa State, India

Two Italian tourists have been kidnapped in Orissa State by Indian Maoist guerillas who have been fighting a guerrilla campaign against the government. This is the first abduction of foreigners. Although authorities had denied the tourists permission to travel in the area, the restriction was ignored.
