Large May Day protests expected in Maldives

Between 10,000 and 25,000 people are expected to come to Malé to participate in the Mayday protest against government tyranny. Thousands of people from the Maldives’ remote islands are travelling to Malé. Police and Coastguard will be inspecting boats coming from the islands for their safety regulations.
