Large Sinkhole in Rome, Italy

A large sinkhole occurred on via Livio Andronico in the Balduin district, in Rome. There were no injuries reported, some parked cars fell into the sinkhole, and people in the surrounding area were evacuated.

The area is closed off, there may be some traffic disruptions. Travellers should avoid this area which is just northwest of Vatican City.
