Leishmaniasis cases found in multiple localities in Panama

Cases of leishmaniasis have been reported in Arraiján, La Chorrera, San Carlos and Chame. In addition, 56 cases have been diagnosed in Campana and 16 new cases in Loma Bonita.

Travellers to these areas can reduce their risk of exposure to leishmaniasis by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
