Leishmaniasis - concern about possible outbreak in Colombia

Colombian authorities have expressed concern about a possible outbreak of leishmaniasis. A total of 7 cases were concentrated in the city of Neiva. Meanwhile, nationally a total of 36 cases were detected.

Travellers to this region can reduce their risk of exposure to leishmaniasis by taking all necessary precautions to avoid sand fly bites.
