Leishmaniasis in Mato Grosso, Brazil

In 2016, there were 96 cases of the most severe form of leishmaniasis (affecting internal organs) in the state of Mato Grosso. Cases were reported by 21 municipalities, but most of the infected people were reported by the municipalities of Campo Grande, Três Lagoas, Corumbá and Coxim. There were 5 deaths.
