Libera closes border crossings due to Ebola

Although the current Ebola outbreak continues to spread in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, the risk for the general traveller remains very low. The World Healh Organization does not recommend any travel restrictions. Nevertheless, travellers should be aware that Liberia has closed all border crossings except for the main airports. In addition, Nigeria largest's airline, Arik Air, has suspended all flights to Liberia and Sierra Leone after a man with Ebola flew to Nigeria last week on one of its flights.

Travellers should check with local authorities and airlines regarding possible disruption of travel plans.
