Liberia: Demonstration in Monrovia on 11 January

The Independent Council of Patriots (ICOP) has called for a peaceful demonstration against the Council of Patriots (COP) on 11 January at the Capitol Hill in Monrovia.

Though the event is expected to pass off peacefully, local road travel disruptions with traffic congestions may occur. To minimize safety risk, avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests. Even events intended to be peaceful can escalate unexpectedly and quickly become violent.
