Magnitude 6.9 earthquake hits Solomon Islands

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reported an earthquake, magnitude 6.9, centered 75 kilometers (47 miles) northwest of Lata in the eastern Solomon Islands, where the Santa Cruz Islands are located. At this time, there are no reports of damage or injuries.
