Major ethnic violence in Jonglei State in South Sudan

Major ethnic violence has left 100 people dead in South Sudan where rebels and ethnic allies attacked a convoy of families from a rival tribe. This attack was the worst violence in Jonglei State since 900 people were killed there in 2011. Personal security in South Sudan remains uncertain. Several countries advise their citizens to avoid all travel to this country.
